How will I, or my child learn with Brettem English?
Delivery methods:
Here at Brettem English we want to keep learning fun and easy, that’s why when we run live online classes we want to make it as easy and accessible as possible.
Our live lessons are held in one interactive classroom that always has a quick and simple process to enter the classroom. We use two main learning platforms, learncube.com and 2utoring.com
Our passion is empowering students ( of any age) to learn without the fear of failure or embarrassment and to achieve the fluency they are capable of and deserve.
And believe students learn skills best through an interactive teaching style that demands their participation and challenges their abilities.
How do I enter the classroom? / what platform do you use for teaching?
CLASSROOM INFORMATION
The platforms that will use are learncube.com and 2utoring.com these are both interactive classrooms that students can easily access and use.
We also use Skype/ zoom / google meet
You will be given a quick classroom link once your placement has been secured after payment.
Both platforms do not require any downloads and can be accessed on most devices.

LESSON INFORMATION
Live lessons will be delivered through a variety of materials including conversation, video, audio, and interactive writing tasks whilst in class and tasks to complete at home will be given throughout the course.
A short review of the program followed by a virtual experience (one per course)will conclude the program. Tasks are structured to help students remember and retain information but still challenge their ability.
Information is kept to a minimum of topics, so it’s memorable.
How do I know my children are in safe hands?
ALL TEACHERS WORKING FOR BRETTEM ENGLISH HAVE BEEN AND HOLD A FULL DBS POLICE CHECK FORM WHICH ALLOWS INDIVIDUALS TO WORK SAFELY WITH CHILDREN.
CHILDREN INFORMATION and SAFETY.
NO PERSONAL INFORMATION BE PASSED ON TO THIRD PARTIES FOR MARKETING OR ANY OTHER REASON!
However, Within the small group classes children will be asked to share some information with the group like their names, ages, if they have brothers or sisters -if so how many. Eg I have 2 older sisters and 1 younger brother and where do they live- only major cities or countries should be disclosed. No personal information will EVER. BE DISCUSSED DURING LESSON TIME. IF CHILDREN DO WANT TO OPPORTUNITY TO DISCUSS ANYTHING THAT MAY BE A CAUSE OF CONCERN FOR THEM THEY WILL BE GIVEN THE OPPORTUNITY TO SPEAK INDIVIDUALLY WITH THE CLASS TEACHER. WHO WILL THEN, WILL PASS ON TO PARENTS/CARERS OR IF DEEMED NECESSARY TO EITHER THE CHILD OR SOMEONE ELSE WILL PASS INFORMATION ONTO THE AUTHORITIES AND ALL INFORMATION WILL BE GIVEN. THIS IS By UK law of The Children Act 1989 states that children's welfare should be the paramount concern. And EACH RESPONSIBLE TEACHER has a duty to "safeguard and promote the welfare" of children.
Any children who wish to share more information with fellow classmates must have permission from all parents/careers involved and will not be encouraged to do this by the teacher. However, Brettem English does understand those children and encourages children to share stories and start to form healthy relationships with their peers knowing that it is a safe environment to do so. Where each individual will not be judged but listened to with respect.

EITHER THE CHILD OR SOMEONE ELSE WILL PASS INFORMATION ON TO THE AUTHORITIES AND ALL INFORMATION WILL BE FROM THEN ON TO THE RIGHT OF THE AUTHORISES.

Classes can be done via google meet or my own interactive classroom called learncube.
The normal price is £16 per hour unless a promotion is running.
You can use the hours when it suits you - hours are only used when a lesson has been completed.
NO TIME LIMIT on hours and each promotion can be purchased up to 3 times per account.
You have 1 main account ( parent account) that allows other family/ friends to have their own account-
Adults and teenagers will have their own login details
You can add any homework/documents etc. to the portal
If you 3 wanted to take individual classes at different times or just use 1 person it’s totally your choice.
Totally flexible to suit your family.
I work throughout the whole year - weekdays -weekends - school holidays - I only take up to 4 weeks a year vacation.
I don’t work on national UK holidays ( there are usually 4-5 Mondays only a year)
Or over Christmas my availability stops on 21st December- 5/6 January
PAYMENT Information
Payment can be per class £16 per class pay as you go. Directly through your student account portal or via a PayPal link or QR code. IF NOT used with a promotion
promotions run regularly throughout the year and hours must be prepaid in full ( or if agreed a payment plan can be arranged)
Payment can be made 4 ways all safe and secure
1. Directly through you student portal account via PayPal- this gives you receipts and a complete log of your payment details.
2. Subscription of £80 per month for UNLIMITED classes- ( based on a minimum of 5 lessons at £16 per month) - unlimited for each individual account - up to 3 people per account - via PayPal or stripe / subscription
bigger families can arrange a suitable subscription price
